Chris Swann

Howdy, I'm Chris.

I am a Junior at Texas A&M University studying Journalism and minoring in Sport Management. I serve as the Assistant Photo Editor for Texas A&M’s student publication, The Battalion, as well as a staff photographer for TexAgs. 

I primarily focus on sports, while photographing news, feature, and nature/landscape subjects. 

I began narrowing my focus to sports photography at Texas State University in August 2022, where I contributed to the newly-formed sports section of KTSW 99.9, Texas State University’s student radio station, before moving to College Station and starting at TexAgs in January of 2023.

Following a semester of baseball and softball coverage for TexAgs, I joined The Battalion in August 2023, where I’ve photographed over 50 games, events, and features.

On top of photography, I also have experience in design for newspaper, magazine and social media platforms. where I've created spreads, photo galleries, front pages, and infographics.

Ultimately, I just love to create. No matter the medium-photography, graphic design, or music-creating-work that I can be happy with is what keeps me going. And I hope to continue that for as long as I possibly can.
